As you may have noticed, there are six stars in our logo. These 6 stars each represent a step our participating students will need to take on their journey to become a Global Youth Ambassador.
These skills are an integral basis for any schools approach to motivate, inspire and educate students in breaking down social and cultural barriers through both international, and personal awareness and understanding.
Developed and pioneered by Director of OneWorld Education UK, Mike Bennett
established the Global Youth Ambassador Project to provide a platform for students to be able to understand what it means to be a Global Citizen and draw on the benefits of
breaking down cultural barriers and sharing in experiences with other students from across the globe.
The main aim of the GYA Project is to inspire young leaders and help promote Global
Awareness within the education system. We work closely with our partner schools to
ensure that the lasting effects and substantial benefits are not only absorbed, but
maintained by students and teachers alike.
“Implementing the GYAP programmeinto my school has provided my students with invaluable opportunities to develop a deeper socio-cultural understanding and developing as young global leaders of the future”
